what kind and when yo change feeds

I have 8, 7 week old chicks out in the coop/run now. When do I start with things such as grit? Also, I am feeding these chicks and my 2 week old chicks starter/grower but mixing some medicated feed in with the 2 week old chicks. Is this ok?

You don't need to give them grit if you're just feeding the chick starter. As for medicated feed, you can feed medicated chick starter/grower up until laying age when you switch over to layer feed. If you don't want to do that, just finish out what you have left of the medicated and then switch to a non-medicated starter/grower. Either way, it doesn't matter.
