What kind are they?

i just bought the pair at a livestock auction this past weekend. i was told by someone their called "velvet quail" but i can't find ANYTHING on the internet. i need desperatly to find out their name. i want to look up stuff like
what country their from, how well they lay, if they sit on what they lay, if their flighty, etc. PLEASE HELP????

Can't see your pic. I've never heard of velvet quail (not that I'm an expert) but I have heard of "valley quail". Maybe that's what it is?
