Both of them are Easter Eggers as they do not conform to SOP standards for true Ameraucanas.

If their variety was not specified at the time of purchase, you have Easter Eggers. Sorry, but most birds that are sold as "Ameraucana" are really Easter Eggers. Those chicks are not standard colors, and yes you can tell that just by chick down. The accepted color varieties for Ameraucana each have their own specific color/pattern of chick down.

Don't be disappointed by the news, though. EEs are some of the most GORGEOUS birds I've ever seen. They are so variable, and many of them look like little hawks. :-)

Plus, you'll have some pretty pastel colored eggs.
