What kind of Bator do you use?

I bought 30 silkie eggs off of ebay... paid nearly $80 for them.

Got the hove bater elite 3000... or something the one with the turner, the thermasate, fan and the works. I got two pips... but no one made it threw hatch...

Hopefully my sovie hatch turns out better...

I may have to make the house bator a more stable addition to the house... my husband hates it when I bring my birds inside.... but I have gotten away with the duck eggs...

But can't figure out the humitity thing... and don't want to hatch chicks with 5 big containers of water in the incubator.

I don't know but this all was so much easier when I was a kid.

I hatched my very 1st batch a week ago. I incubated in a plain ole styromfoam hovabator, hatched in an old metal brower incubator. My DH bought me a GQF 1202 incubator yesterday that I can't wait to try out. If you get your temps and humidity right it just about has to be your eggs.

I LOVE my Brinsea Octogon bator. I think most have really good qualities to them, though, and once you figure out the little quirks, you'll probably do well!

I've been using a home made bator. Have had pretty good luck. I've ranged from 75-100% hatch rate. Mostly around 86% so I'm pretty happy with it.
