Hi all!
I would like to ask formally here.
I’m unsure about the breed of this chick because when I went to get a baby chick for me, I asked for a “Easter Egger” and the first chick given didn’t had any puff cheeks. When I asked the man for “Ameraucana” the guy told me he didn’t had any available.🥲
Then I showed him this pic of 4 puffy cheeky Easter Egger hens, he took a few seconds to think, went to search and brought back this beautiful puffy cheeky chick to me.

Ever since I got this baby chick it always made a “ringing” noise like a loud “birrrrrrrr” or “whirrrrrrrr”. Even on the first night we were driving it home, my husband and I just got curious and found it super cute and funny.
I got a little concerned at first and asked around. Someone told me it meant it was cold (I live in a very hot area) still, I made sure to monitor the temperature. Someone else told me it was a “purrr” for happy sound. Someone else told me is normal baby chick noises, that is nothing to worry about and it will stop once it grew.

I named her Dango, she is now 2 months old. She does these ringing chirps almost for everything and I’m just curious because I never had chickens that do this before and would like to know if it’s an Ameraucana thing, Easter Egger thing, or what kind of breed because I love it and want more like her.😆

She does this sound for everything! While exploring the backyard, when she is alerting, when I pet her, when the food is too good, when is time to sleep, when she is getting a dirt bath. Almost Any time!

So what kind of breed is it?🐥🐓

*** Dango is the white one with fluffy cheeks.🤍

Is she a bantam? She looks an awful lot like the Splash Ameraucana bantams from mypetchicken. Or she is an Easter Egger. I'm curious about the sounds she makes. Is it possible for you to record her then upload the video to another site such as YouTube then link the video here?

I have no idea what a “bantam” is besides I think it means “little” or “petit” in which I hope not, I wanted Medium to Large size eggs. Haha
I will try to record her. She is just super camera shy, sees me holding my phone and freezes on the spot all silent, only side eyes my phone.

Bantams are much smaller than standard sized chickens. It could be the camera angle playing tricks on my eyes, but she seems fairly small.

Just managed to walk silently camera ready and got this video!!! Dango has grow a bit more since last time.
How do I post a video response?

My little banties used to trill like that all the time, usually when they were feeling happy or content.
In here she is alerting over something. They were petrified. I went outside to check the areas. I suspect they saw the neighbor.
