When I got this chick at a few days old I was told it was a silver seabright but I've come to the conclusion that thats not what it is, its way to big. She is about 5 weeks old and is as large if not larger then my 5 week old RIR. Thanks for your help. Oh there is also a few pin feathers that she has always had on her legs not much and nothing consistant (tried to get a photo of this but its hard to see)

I would say Brahma cross because of the super light leg feathering. I hatched a chick (Light Brahma bantam mother/OEGB father) and it looks like yours-sort of. The black is lighter and the leg feathering is heavier in my chick.

Ditto. Here's my light brahma, 4 month old.

I couldn't find a good side shot, so here's two:

So I guess my less then 2 pound chicken is really going to be 8 pounds. Oh well we still love her. Do I need a larger nest box for this breed I was planing on 12x12 nest boxes?

Yours has much different legs than mine. They're very large, and more upright, and somehow just different. Is that from the cross?

I have no Idea I thought I was getting a small seabright. Got her from the feedstore. So I have no idea what she is crossed with. But I agree she does look mostly like the brahma. will a 12x12 nest box work or does it need to be larger?
