what kind of chick?

Hi, I have a 3 week old chick which I'm not able to provide a picture for because I'm new to the forum and their not allowing newbies at this time to upload pictures. My question is this chick was the largest out of the 12 I have. Pretty dark brown and has puffy fuzz that sticks out on cheeks. Looks like a chipmunk. Has a dark brown strip going across mid point of beak. Feathers seem to have a bit of white, and the legs are big, but kind of a dark green olive type of color. Any ideas. Thank you

from Ohio! Your chick sounds beautiful/ handsome. If you have a plastic 50-gallon tub, that chick will be fine in there for a few weeks. You need some chick starter feed, to help insure he/dhe gets the right vitamins & minerals. How's your weather? If at all possible(warm & sunny) take your chick outside daily to explore & scratch in your front yard. Stay right there with your chickie! NEVER LEAVE IT ALONE OUTSIDE.

Sounds like an Easter egger sold as Americauna at the feed store. I have one myself and she is growing into a beautiful bird!

Yes, I think you hit it on the nose she looks just like the pictures. I live in NE and right now it is 56 out. We've had a cool spring. I can't wait to be able to take them out. I have a coop being built and it should be done this week. Hopefully days will start warming up. May be 73 on Wednesday. Not sure if that is warm enough to take out. I know nights are still to cool. Was 36 here and spitting snow yesterday morning. I have all the chicks in a big bin like you see at the feed stores. I think they need more room now though. Not sure. They seem to be happy.
