What kind of chicken breed should I get?

I have two young cochins who are 2/3 of a year old, I'm getting new chickens in spring, but I'm not sure what breed I should get, should I stick to cochins or get a new breed?

One of my cochins is very territorial and aggressive to other chickens.

Mine lays 5-6 times a week.
They tend to be a little bit scared when they’re small but soon as they learn, they will love you and they follow you. The Naked necks have on a specific whistle I have and they always come running up when I whistle for them and it’s very cool and cute.

I assume you mean large fowl cochins?

If you're raising chickens just as a hobby and don't care about egg/meat production I think you should get some brahmas/orpingtons. They are cute and fluffy and are super nice. If you don't mind having a mixed flock any bantam breeds are great too. Polish chickens, while they are much harder than most breeds to maintain, are a really pretty breed if your okay with the extra work/trouble. What climate are you in? What exactly do you like about chickens as a hobby? Do you like them because they're cute? Do you just like their little noises and being around them? Do you like different color eggs?

If you properly introduce the new chickens, there will still be some fighting and pecking, but the territorial Cochin should settle with some time.

polish chickens look beautiful!

I'm in a temperate marine climate.
I just love being around chickens, theyre cute and its entertaining to watch them do their thing, different coloured eggs would be cool but I dont really mind the color of the eggs.

Are you in the UK? I honestly don't recommend polish chickens if your in a wet - ish climate. Their crests can get messy. I think some bantams (bantam orpingtons, brahmas, wyandottes, silkies, cochins, oegb, Easter egger, etc) are a good idea for you because they're super friendly and you can have much more chickens for the same amount of space.
