Are you an official chicken farmer?I just called them that cause of the sound they make. Kind of like a machine gun. CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK
Oh wow. Ok. I have three older chickens. I thought they were younger. I guess not.Oh, not even close. Another 10 weeks.
I think so..Are you an official chicken farmer?
Wow! That’s impressive. You’re really taking off. Do you have a website for your farm? Yes, I’d say you’re a chicken farmer. It sounds like you’re learning on the go. Are there requirements to being part of the CSA? Do you have to produce a certain quantity?I think so..

I currently have 27 birds:9 guineas and 18 chickens of mixed ages. I am building a new shed/coop that can house 25 layers and has a brood pen and a meat rabbit setup inside. I am raising eggs and meat for a CSA farm, and plan to offer hatching eggs and chicks next spring.
If i'm not a chicken farmer, I am as close as you can get without selling my soul to tyson or perdue i guess. I do have 5 acres on which I try to produce as much of my own food as I can. I have been here a year and a half. It is a work progressin and this season the lion share of that progress has been on building poultry infrastructure and livestock. .
Is that related to a white leghorn? It does look like a blue Cochin pullet. Most don't start laying until 6-8 months in age.
Thank you. No website as of now. The owner of the CSA is committed to providing a certain amount to his share holder. Him and I just have verbal agreement. I do my very best to come through reliably, so far so good, but if I couldn't produce for some reason in reality it would fall in him to provide something else to his cients. Of course he gets paid up front and I get paid by the dozen, so I think it's pretty fair.Wow! That’s impressive. You’re really taking off. Do you have a website for your farm? You should get a website or a Facebook page so we can follow your success! There is a similar kind of thing here in Idaho. Various farmers offer items all through one main farm. Microgreens are huge here.Thank you. No website as of now. The owner of the CSA is committed to providing a certain amount to his share holder. Him and I just have verbal agreement.
