What kind of chicken is my rooster?

I think he is s D'uccle, but not sure. He is a bantam, has a beard, feathered feet, no wattles, but the coloring is pretty solid and red. Super-weet fellow with a lovely crow. Any ideas.

He looks like a Booted Bearded Bantam or perhaps a solid d'Uccle. Not all d'Uccles are Mille Fleur, it is a variety (color) not a breed.

Where did you get him?

Yes, he is a d'uccle (note the beard & muffs).

He looks like a Mille Fleur, minus the mottling. If he came from a hatchery, probably is a Mille not pure or completely lacking the one gene necessary for the mottling.

If you breed him with a Mille or Porcelain hen and half of the offspring turn out mottled, there's your answer(a Mille not pure for mottled).

(Porcelain because they are simply Mille Fleur with the addition of lavender)

i saw that ideal had a bunch of different colored d'uccles, he probably came from there

He came from McMurray, in the mixed bantam package. He was the only one like this, others were mostly frizzles, cochins and brahmas.
