What kind of chicken is she?

She has a pretty blue n dark green in some spots. I think she looks dark purple, not black or brown. She is sitting on eggs paired with a beautiful RIR. I'm just curious what to expect.

She looks kinda like a Speckled Sussex to me.

She's definitely a Speckled Sussex. They are a wonderful breed; very hardy, friendly and gentle (good lap pets), and good layers of large, brown eggs. )

thank you all. she definitely is a speckled Sussex. I love her. She has jumped over 2 fences and is laying up underneath a porch and has gone broody. She only comes out every 5 or 6 days. I am so excited to see what her babies will look like. I'm almost positive she will be having RIR babies. I cannot wait to see what they look like. She seems like she will be a good mother. ))
