To put it very simply, they are all a gold gene roo X silver gene hen

You can use many different breeds to make them but the end result is the same.

chickencharmer, red sex-links have white in their tail and bodies where as the production red has the black in the tail. It's the sex-linked color. Shouldn't be any black on them.
