What kind of chicken is this one? Edited 062909 -- PIC HEAVY!! --

I think GLW. She looks just like mine but mine has a straight comb but somebody told me they were suppose to have the kind that your chick has.

OK now, y'all got me confused now. What is the difference in a peacomb and a rosecomb? I now a single comb.

And by the way, she is beautiful I think, what ever she is. If she is an EE she will lay colored eggs. I have one and she has feathers sticking out the side of her head whre her ears are and she still dn't have a comb and she is 4 months old. There are just a few bumps there. Is that a peacomb?

I need an education on combs.

Thanks for the posts everyone.

I'm leaning towards her being an EE.

After work tomorrow (Monday), I'll try to take a few really close ups of her legs, face and neck.

I just spent several hours working in the garden.... and I'm too 'pooped' to try to corner/grab her.

Thanks again....

Alrighty, The hen has a pea comb i "believe". She does not have the cornish look and she is too bright to be a dark cornish, and cornish do have yellow legs.

She isn't fluffy/bulky enough looking to be a wyandotte to me, wyandottes have rose/singlecombs and they also, have yellow legs.

This hen has- Green legs, peacomb, small tufts (Or is it a beard/muff? you can see the black feathers wrapping around the bottom of her face), she does not have lacing (except in her breast), she is too bright to be either a dark cornish or golden laced wyandotte. Wyandottes do not have much of a tail from the ones i've seen, her tail is about medium length.

I say she is a hatchery ameracauna, AKA "EE" (Mutts).. and due to the lacing i would think she probably has wyandotte in her, so i guess you can say she is a Ameracauna Wyandotte cross.

I have edited the original post on 6/29/09 to include some more pictures:

Do most agree then that its an EE?
