What kind of chicken is this?

We are not too much into the ordinary breeds, we have polish, favorelles, and silkies, one of the boys picked this crazy one out. We might swap it but I dont know what color of eggs it lays either.

WHAT??? The lady said for sure it was a hen, it is around 3 months old I think? If its a rooster I am definatley swapping it out.

OK.

The photos I posted on the other post? The first was a female, the second was a male.

Males have sickle feathers that curve downwards. They also have pointed hackle and saddle feathers. They also reach sexual maturity faster than females which is why it's suggested to keep males and females separate once the males start chasing down the females.

Females don't usually start getting red combs and wattles until approximately 5-6 months of age, and some as late as 9-10 months depending on breed.

So, with yours being 3 months and having comb and wattle development that is already red...leads me to believe it is a male.
