What kind of chicken is this?

The three breeds (Araucana, Americuana & Easter Egger) are often confused/interchanged, and since you are not breeding them for show, hatcheries typically call most Easter Eggers Americuanas or sometimes Araucanas. Newbies see a chicken with a beard and tufts and think "That's cool, I want some of those." so hatcheries take liberties with the naming. We have one Americuana who came from a hatcherie that does breed Americuanas. Again if you are not showing or looking to breed pure chickens.... it's not an issue. I look at Easter Eggers as Americuanas with more color options!

One of our EEs is half EE, half Leghorn and is caramel gold and white. She is lanky and goofy, but pretty and sweet. Nothing wrong with EEs, they are great home/backyard birds.

Nope, no plan to breed or show. She's just my little sweetie who acts more like a dog than a chicken.

She's always following someone around looking to see if we have anything for her to eat. Pasta is her favorite.
