What kind of chickens are these two?

Anyone have any idea what kind of chickens these are? They’re about 24 weeks and no one is laying yet.

The black and white one looks like a Barred Rock. I'm leaning toward Easter Egger for the other one. Where did you get her?

Thanks!! I got them from a local feed store. They were in a mixed bin. I think they get their chicks from Hoovers hatchery.

I'm thinking she *could* be a Prairie Bluebell Egger (which in my mind is just essentially a hatchery trademarked Easter Egger, but with less chance of having a muff and beard and possibly a higher chance of laying blue eggs... I'm sure others can correct my assumptions, though).

You can compare her to the pullet in the 2nd picture here. It doesn't look like that one pictured has yellow legs like yours, but mine have very yellow legs and I think they can be all colors. I hope you update us when she lays her first egg!

I agree with the Barred Rock, but I don't think it has the right comb type to be a Welsummer.

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like a single comb. If you get beautiful speckled eggs, she’s a Welsummer

The first looks like a barred rock, and the second is probably some sort of colored Egger. She’s got the wrong comb type and wrong feather coloring to be a Welsummer.

I agree that she is likely a prairie bluebell egger due to her pea comb and yellow legs. She will probably lay a blue egg.
