What kind of duck behavior is this?

I just saw my drake doing the same thing yesterday. He picked a bowl of water a bit away from other ducks, so he had it for himself, then he went gorilla style like the one you posted. :) So funny.

Mine is a bit less than 11 weeks old Indian runner. I have a feeling he is going to enter the puberty soon.

I find it hilarious when he does this! The first time I noticed it, I just about died. Do you think it could be something to do with dominance? I did catch my other drake doing it a couple times as well :p
 
I'm new to ducks, but yes, I think it is. He is showing how bad-ass he is to the world. He goes a bit away from all the ladies (and weaker males) so they can all see him. I guess hormones kicked in. :)
