This is our duck Bumblebee (like the transformer, he was yellow and black when we got him). I'm pretty sure he is a he because he's awful quiet and hardly peeps or quacks. He's also significantly smaller than our female Pekin who is the same age.

I'm thinking that he is a black Swedish but I can't swear to it. He has a beautiful greenish blue sheen to his feathers on his head and wings. Any suggestions?

Looks like a black Swedish to me too. The sheen is typical of the breed and makes them very pretty. I had one girl that even developed a touch of purple. As far as the sex, Pekins are going to be larger so that probably won't help. When listening to a quack is it soft and raspy or more loud and sharp? If its loud and sharp its a girl and if its soft and raspy sounding its a male. Also males develop a curled tail feather.

His quack is very soft especially compared to the pekin. In fact I rarely hear him make noise at all. I haven't noticed a curly tail feather yet.
