Shelless, or soft-shelled, egg. It got laid without the hard calcium coating...it happens sometimes. May need to check your calcium (recycled (cleaned) egg shells crushed up or oyster shell) availability.
If I have that in a feeder separate from their layer feed will they just help themselves for as much as they need??

I just dump the eggshells directly on the ground in the run and they will grab as much as they want. Sometimes I like to mix in some sourdough - it's like a little smoothie for the chickens!

*Of side note, I ONLY give eggshells from the eggs that I have harvested. If I buy eggs from the store, those shells go into the trash as I am pretty sure those are bleached.

They should, but sometimes it takes awhile for them to catch on.
You can also sprinkle some oyster shell around on the ground.
I mix crushed egg shell in with the oyster shell.

Store eggs are not bleached.

They are disinfected with a food-grade sanitizer that is safe for human consumption and thus perfectly safe for chickens. :D

I tried hand feeding it to them and they are rejecting it! I put it in a separate feeder and they are sticking their beaks up to it! Would you recommend mixing it in with their food for a bit of time? I found another soft shelled egg yesterday 😭
