Hello all! I have a question—my red sex links have been laying for the past few weeks, and I’m confident that the middle egg is one of theirs. I didn’t think my Easter Eggers were laying yet, because they start later and I was expecting blue eggs...are the eggs on the left and right from Easter Eggers? They are paler and the left one has speckles. Thanks for your time!!

Welcome to BYC.

What other breeds do you have and where did your birds come from?

Thanks for the welcome! The two breeds in the coop are the red sex link and the Easter eggers. There are no other chickens with them. I got them as part of a 4H Chick Chain event, and am not sure of the exact origin.

Hopefully all three of those eggs belong to your red sex links.
Can you post a few pictures of your Easter Eggers?

Have their combs gotten redder recently?

I don’t have too many recent photos, these are from around a month ago. I haven’t noticed the combs, but I’ll be sure to look next time I go out.

Red sex links can lay various shades of brown eggs so they could very well all be from your sex links.
But EEs can also lay brown eggs so hard to say for sure.
Lipstick their egg chutes different colors and then you'll know for sure.
