cg, I´m not looking to offend you, but may I suggest you do a bit of reading on raising goslings? I did wonder about how much you understand because of your not understanding about buffs, which is pretty basic stuff.i got it from the feedstore and who knows how healthy it was in the first place. what should i look for in a healthy gosling? i plan to get two or three of them that way if it gets too cold even with my heat lamp they can also share body heat until i figure out how to get the lamp close enough without them being able to touch it. the wire cage may be too lofty in which case i can put some thick plastic around the sides and make some air holes
Well, I can understand, as they do look a little alike. Don´t forget, both goslings and ducklings do better when they have a friend.I meant to get a duck which i had owned before and he had lived a LONG time and i ended up with a gosling, by the time we found out it was to late and i had already become attached to the small fluffball. It was one of the smallest ones in there. I had originally picked a much larger gosling but when i learned it was a gosling not a duckling i put it back and grabbed another(the feedstore had them in a metal bin, ducklings goslings and turkey in the same bin!}today i plan to go and get two today and if that first one is still there im getting it. but if you can put up a few pictures of some common goslings in the meantime i can choose one that looks like one of the pictures. I will post pictures of them when i get them settled down.
Well, I don´t know a lot about snakes, just those that are to be avoided!my great grandpa showed me the difference. Im more accustomed to snake talk than anything else, although i do currently have seven chickens, 1 americana(i think) a descendant of one of my childhood hens,2 silkie bantam roosters(one black one buff),2 buff silkie bantam hens, 1 white laced red cornish bantam hen and 1 unknown hen. the cornish i also got from the feedstore she is very pretty. Any pictures of specific gosling species?
