What kind of hair?

I was out walking behind my barns and I came across this piece of hair, it’s orange and black. Does anyone know what it’s from? Or might be from?

Looks like cat hair but thicker... maybe a squirrel tail? Fluffy dog?

We don’t have any red/orange dogs but we do have a lot orangish squirrels around. Is there anyway it could be fox.. I would hate that.

It’s pretty course, definitely not soft.

I think fox at this time of year would have wooliness at the bottom and longer gaurd hairs.

I found these on the internet that look like what I found, really hoping it’s just a squirrel and not like a fox or something.

Fox's have softer hair, I think it's some hawks leftover Squirrel

Good. So worried it was from a fox, never came across one in my life and don’t want to.
