what kind of hen is this?

She looks NOTHING like most easter eggers I've raised. I would hazard a guess as to a blue cochin, but its hard to tell since there is not a good picture of the comb.

Those legs look a bit short to be Langshan, that is one of their most striking attributes, isn't it?

I think she is Cochin X EE, but only because of her face - the legs look Cochin-y to me.

well, she has no comb or waddles to speak of..yet? So I can't comment on that. She is a great hen, from what I understand, if she is part EE then she will lay colored eggs (I was told that was a dominant trait).
I see what you are saying about the blue and yellow makes green...this makes sense cause her legs are different on the top than the bottom. I will have to check her middle toes though.
plus, from what the original owner said, it seems like they didn't get this bird from a high quality breeder.
I will have to wait and see what she does, if she grows a tail or a comb!

I think you are right, her tail seems a little more rectangular as she gets older. Slow maturing and seems to fit the breed standard as far as I read. I got a white langshan from a show (not SQ) and can see the similarities. The white one just laid her 1st egg and she is much larger (and about 6 months old).
here are some more recent pics of Delilah:

she laid her 1st egg today!

I finally know that she is not a langshan, but maybe a cochin/EE cross or EE cross of some sort. She has very small comb and waddles

I now have a GREEN egg layer!!!!!
