Bought a hen at a poultry swap, have no idea what she is and didn't bother to ask. The seller didn't tell me either. He did say she is nearly 2 years old and still lays eggs.. which I'm not sure about. She hasn't laid me one since I bought her last Saturday. Kind of disappointing. The other one I bought from the same man, an Easter Egger/Aracauna has laid me two eggs already.

It's not a faverolle. Likely it's a bit of a mix. It looks like a New Hampshire Red or Production Red, but with coloring like a Buff Orpington. I'd guess it's some mixture of a few of the more common laying breeds.

That looks like a Buff Orpington to me. I had some a year ago, and a few had a little black on their tail feathers like yours. I wouldn't worry too much about not getting eggs yet; I bet she is still adjusting from the stress of moving to a new environment. She will probably start up again anytime.

I agree on the mix. She's not a buff orpington, the color and body type are both wrong. She may have buff in her background, as stated she's probably a mix of a couple laying breeds. I'll bet she starts laying once she settles in. Looks like she should lay brown eggs.

Hi, had to make an account just for this XD
That looks to me like a warren (or possibly some other brown link hybrid), that has bleached with age and sunlight. I have a 4yr old and a 6 month old at the moment, the old girl started off just how the young one looks today (think that picture of the chicken in the grass that's on all the egg boxes), but is now paler than yours. The good news is, you can probably expect an egg at least every other day at her age : )
