WHAT KIND OF HEN TO BREED ROOSTER TO?

If i have a EE ROOSTER and want to breed him to a hen, what kind should i use to make a good breed? or is he just considered a mutt. wanted to know ?

what would you get if you bred him to a aracauna hen?

EE is most likely a mutt or cross of somekind, but should carry the gren/blue/tinted egg gene. Unless you know what color egg he hatched from, you probably know little about whether or not he will pass on a green or blue or ?tinted or brown egg colored gene in his breeding.

Crossed on a pure araucana hen you would get an EE-araucana cross of some kind. Ameraucana might be easier to find than araucana, though, and probably closer to the EE type.

I'm sure there are Ameraucana and/ or Araucana gurus who know much more than I who will come shed more light on your question.

i know there are different traits passed on by the rooster and the hen, but From my experience, the EE hens make wonderful babies no matter what you cross them with. My mom has a bunch of chickens I hatched from her EE hen crossed with several roos and all are beautiful, strong, hatch great with no issues, lay well, just great chickens.
