What kind of hens are we???

The chicks are two production reds, Maureen and Paige (Paige is older) and the Black Star chick is Henrietta. I just added their pics because they are cute!

I don't know what types the ladies are-a coworker's husband bought them at a swap meet here in southern California. I suspect the black one is a Black Star (which is a type I love), but I don't know for certain.

Please take a look!

First is of Isabella, my dominant hen who sometimes crows because I don't have a rooster-can't have one where I am...

Next is Giselle-I suspect she and Mabel (no pic) are the same type of hen notice there is almost no comb-I think it's a peacomb.

Both hens are American Game.I do not know what line.Yes that is Pea comb .American Game can be Single or Pea combed

I just went to the BYC breed list & read the description-that fits my ladies in so many ways!

I never would have guessed it from the pic of the roo & eggs being described as white, but I see in the pics hens and light brown eggs similiar in color to mine.

Of course, I'd love my girls no matter what type they were

There American Game Cross. Not pure Game, they have what looks like White earlobes..

So, what do you think-maybe American Game/White Lrghorn cross?

They were bought at a swapmeet-could be anything...

I like guessing games-go for it-it's all in fun
