Those look like red roost mites, and permethrin should kill them. What have you been using?
I was thinking that, too! This is my first time dealing with mites in chickens but my husband had mites on his snake once so, I was thinking it might be similar.I am not educated on pests at all, but i would assume it would be easy for them to get worse when new eggs hatch. Assuming the threatment isn't as effective on eggs. I do know that most pest treatments are recommend in stages to accommodate for this egg and hatch cycle. But i also assume you are doing by the directions so i can't assume you're doing anything wrong either.
