What kind of paint/stain?

Hello, When we build our coop, I will want to paint the outside of it or stain it, not sure which yet. What kind of paint or stain should I look for that won't harm the chickens? I also want to paint the inside, so need some suggestions for the kind of paint I can use inside the coop. Thank you!

Hi I use" Lowe's Barn Paint " .
it comes in white and red. I think you can tint the white.
I've used it and had no problem at all. it doesn't cost a lot of money and it's a really good paint that lasts a long time. Karen

Thank you! I actually was planning to use a "barn" red and white, so that works for me! LOL! I'll have to go check it out later.
