Okay so something got a couple of my chickens early this morning.#1 My rooster completely gone. No sign of stuggle from him, which is odd because he's a fighter though he isn't that big cause he's a silkey. #2 a few brown feather of my brown chicken scattered around. Her body no where to be found either...#3 my black chicken, her head ripped off. Head and body still there by the coop. all of this happens early this morning. What could it have been?

Whole birds taken with no smell left behind could be coyotes. They can come during the day. Not sure if the one left behind would fit their normal take.

Do they roost outside or in a coop? The head being off and body still there sounds like a raccoon, the missing chickens without many feathers from struggle seem like it could be a larger animal like a fox or coyote that carried them off.

So sorry for your loss. It could have been any number of predators. If you have a game camera, put it up because most likely it will be back for more since it apparently made a kill. You may not see it but whatever it is has probably been lurking looking for an opportunity.
