What kind of quail are these??? (JK someone tell me about silkies hatching quail eggs)

Husband came home with these adorable chicken nuggets yesterday. He was told they were bantams of some sort. A chicken guru friend of mine identified then as hatchery silkies.

Which I'm pretty happy with because if these are hens, I hear they are the broodiest dang chicken ever.

Who's using silkies for hatching quail?

Oh and they are so friendly! They climbed up on my shoulder and slept in my hair! I thought I got my coturnix friendly because I can pick them up without them struggling. But now I remember they're no friendly chicken!

Chickens are disease farms, keep them away from the quail and practice biosecurity in between handling them. I repeat this schtick a lot so here is a thread where I covered it pretty well.

In my experience you can easily hatch quail with a small chicken but quail are too small & delicate to be raised by chickens. I see no point in doing it when incubators are so cheap & hassle free.
