what kind of roo got droped off

I'm just wondering if any of you might know what kind of roo got droped on my flock. I work at a Montessori school and had my flock of chickens there for the winter. Because we were building a new house and living in an appartment in town. Anyway someone droped off a rooster one night. When i went to check on the hens in the morning i heard a cock a doodle do that was much to deep to be my banty. This rooster was white around the kneck area and had absolutly no fethers on his tail It was bald. Unfourtunatly he got spooked by me coming over to the pen and flew out. I tried for days to coaks him and then catch him but finally he just did not come back i assume something got him. So no pictures but just wondering if there is a breed of rooster that has no tail fethers or was he just picked on?
