What kind of rooster is this?

He came from my daughter’s 6th grade hatching project ! Him and his sister are pictured together in the one picture … my daughter said he had jersey giants and at first I thought he may have been one, but way too much color now.

Could he be anything else other than a copper maran?

Currently 17-18 weeks old. Towers over my other chickens that are the same age.

Looks like a Clean Legged Black Copper Marans. Could be a type of Olive Egger possibly.

Could be BCM, OE or really any kind of mix like JG x BCM. Classroom project chicks are rarely purebred.
