WHAT KIND OF ROOSTER WOULD GO NICELY WITH MY LADIES

so I have 4 different types of hens there all 4 wks old.. and thought of getting them a bf.. this is what I have.. 1 Dominique,1 blue Andalusian, 4 production reds, 4 golden sex link.... not sure if I should have 2 roosters cuz I do have 10 hens.. or just 1 nice rooster.. what do u think?? plus what kind of rooster would be good for them?? same as one for them??? or something different???

If you're new to chickens, I would advise to just stay with hens for a while. Roosters bring in a whole new set of management and behavioral issues to deal with.

That said, if you're dead set on getting a rooster, I'd go pretty much on temperment. You're not breeding to a standard of perfection, and any rooster over all those breeds is going to make mixed breed babies anyway. So, pick a rooster that's VERY respectful of you and your space and don't try to make him a pet.

I think you can go with the first "nice" rooster that you can find. I enjoy watching broody hens with their chicks so the problems of rooster addition to the flock is worth the trouble for me. If you live near Kansas City I have an extra.
