what kind of rooster?

I hope this is the right place to post this question.
My son-in-law has taken over the main flock of ladies, he discovered he loves chickens!!
However, I want a few chickens (for me) as pets and maybe raise a few chicks. Can anyone give me advice
on what breed of rooster would be the calm and friendly type? Will get ladies to match him. They
will have their own abode and pasture space.
Suggestions please.

I LOVE Faverolles roosters! Sweetest boys I've ever had!

Also my large fowl Ameraucanas (true Ameraucanas, from breeder stock, not hatchery EEs) are really sweet!!

Most friendly we have are Mille Fluer D'uccles.

Not the most productive though, but they would be absolutely wonderful as pets.

My Shamo is the friendliest rooster I've ever known, and he's a superb flock protector too, but they're not a common breed. . .

Ameraucanas (real ones, not EE's) are also a very good rooster to have. Never run into a mean one, always run into a very sweet one. Very good "gentlemen" with the hens too.

I gotta say that our Dark Brahama rooster is great! He is very gentle, eats out of my hand and has a very quiet (and more important) a very seldom crow!

my jersey giant roosters have been so easy going. they are really big too.....ive had some predator problems with smaller chickens breeds that are "freerangers". you mentioned pasture....so im assuming they will be somewhat freeranging. otherwise, the best pets are silkies from my limited experience.
