Hello Everyone,

We have a new coop and fencing up and ready to go for our two little hens (our city allows only four hens.) I have a question for those of you who use sand underneath or around the coop for the chickens to scratch in: What kind of sand do you use? I've looked at some sand at Home Depot, and they have what is called "Play Sand," "Leveling Sand," "Paving Filler Sand" and "Construction Sand." Looking at the ingredients, they all have silica listed, so I'm not really sure which one would be best. For those of you who use sand, where do you buy yours, and which type do you use? Thanks so much in advance for any suggestions.

Not play sand.....Construction sand is what you want, it have grit in it and is perfect for chickens......play sand is too fine.....
