What kind of turkeys are these???

These are pictures from last year of my two turkeys hens. Does anyone know what kind they are? They are still this same color now. I thought they looked like burbon reds but their color is too light. Maybe a mix? The guy I got them from has their parents and they are the same color as these.

Y'know we were talking about this very thing the other day on the Heritage turkey email group. Kevin Porter was saying that the introduction of a slate gene to a Bourbon gene pool will result in a lighter colored Bourbon coloring-almost an Auburn Turkey color. (i.e. the Auburn Turkey variety) And that's what these look like to me.

I think if they were Buffs the person who sold them would have been so proud of them that they would have made sure everyone knew about it and they would have cost a small fortune. True Buffs are pretty hard to come by.
