WHat kind of Wyandotte?

Wyandottes have yellow feet, completely yellow! Someone with lots and lots more experience with breeds will help you here I'm sure. :p

I read on Backyard Poultry forum that the blue wyandotte can have "black legs and a black beak" which one breeder said the legs will go green then (maybe) yellow! His quote "Many pullets in this color have a dusky leg to start out with. Most of mine develop nice yellow leg but some keep a green shank at the top of the leg." He goes on to say to make sure the soles on the feet are infact yellow as a chick or you have no chance of getting lighter legs with age http://forum.backyardpoultry.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8008708&start=0

So interesting!

Need some Wyandotte experts ... got these two from my local chick guy ...They are from Privetts.

I thought they would be more “splashy blue” but instead they are ghostly gray. One has a little bit darker head and some random steel gray feathers.

They're hatchery quality (light) blue wyandottes. As you stated, they are from privett, which as far as I know doesn't carry lavender anything. When blues are bred to splash the blue tends to lighten in the resulting offspring which is what you have. You can see the faint lacing of a slightly darker blue on the ends of their feathers. Splash would be white with blue/gray patches, which you do not have.

Thanks @gladahmae! I was trying to figure out the genetics of how a BLR could make a lavender and just couldn't get there. All the others in the bin looks like more traditional BLRW chicks but I was drawn to these too. Now I just have to hope the light blue doesn't mean roo's.
