What kinda chick is this?

I'm not sure where this goes so i'm posting it here.

This is black head, about half a month old. We got her egg labeled as a barred rock, but she looks completely different from a barred rock. She looks more austra to me. So what is she??

Could be an Australorp, it also could be a mixed breed if you got hatching eggs from somewhere.

They are a lighter color of grey. the eggs were gotten from a hatchery by my mom. She didn't say wich one.

Update. Her nose, beak, and comb are black instead of the comb and nose being red like an australorp chick. She is also to small to be an austra of that age.

I've been looking at other breeds on line and I think this possibly a black lavender orpington. I agree it isn't an australop. As she gets older it will be easier to identify her right now I'm just guessing like you are but looking at the Murray McMurry catalog, this is my best guess
