What large bird hawk has black wings when extended in flight?

It's much much larger thena big crow. We have a Red tail hawk that sets and watches the chickens but it is more tan with a red chest. This large black winged bugger is ruining my days I can't let the chicken out of the run with it swooping at them.

We have turkey vultures that look like that.Up close you can see the bald head,but far away it just looks like a huge bird flying over the yard.They are attracted to decomp smells,which they pick up VERY well.

The turkey vulture will just freak them,but I have never had them attack.Good practice for them to hide from real attacks.

My dd rehabilitated a turkey vulture gross smelling bird.

Would a vulture swoop down a few feet above the trees and swoop at the chickens?


More info I forgot its a pair of large black winged birds.

Sounds like buzzards or vultures, we have quite a selection here and they do feed together.

They come over my place pretty often scouting for carrion and if they keep scouting i know something is dead nearby.
