What Layer Feed Should I Buy?

The girls will be switching to layer feed in the next month, and I'm wondering which type of layer feed to buy. In our area I've seen layer feed from Purina, Nutrena, Land O' Lakes, and Ranch Way. Are there any that are better than the others? What should I be looking for in a layer feed.

They are all pretty much same. All of those you mentioned are good brands. Pick one.

I don't know if it's available to you, but I feed my chickens an organic feed. We have a local farm supply that mixes there own, it's antibiotic and hormone free. I can tell a huge difference between my organic chickens and chickens that are not. They have absolutely gorgeous coats!

I'd love to feed the girls organic feed, but the only place that sells it is an hour away and they don't always have it in stock.

Maybe I should start lobbying for a one of my nearby feed stores to carry it.
