What left this scat - graphic pic

Found this pile of scat on the trail through my property. Trail goes through meadows and into mixed woods. The pile is about 10 inches across, with the dark part on top of the bigger pile. Looks like it is full of corn. No sign of bones or feathers. We have black bears in the area, Eastern Ontario, Canada, so that is what I'm thinking it is. Strangely my dog, who has to pee on any fox and coyote poop, has totally ignored this scat.
Any ideas please.

It looks like a bear to me, too, one that sat in a cornfield for a while.
