What make for the best pond liner?

I live in michigan and am building ponds for my wildwaterfowl collection. Which works for the best liners, and why I heard cement is the best, what about plastic liners? I heard they rip with ice? Thanks

I have concrete and a rubber roofing material in my large pond
The roofing material is the same product they sell for pond liners
Either works great just make sure you build them with cleaning in mind
Ducks make a mess outa any pond
