What makes a good Silver Spangled Hamburg?

It's fair time here, and my boyfriend and I decided on a whim to enter two of our MyPetChicken pullets. We chose our two Silver Spangled Hamburgs and took them in last night, hoping for the best.

My dad was over there today to feed the rabbits, and told me my girl won Reserve Large Fowl. I have to assume this means she's a somewhat decent Hamburg, but I have no idea what makes a good Hamburg. Can anyone enlighten me?

Congrats on your win!

Were there any other Hamburgs there?

They are such a gorgeous breed, but I am not familiar with their standards.

Look at the tail, Is there mossing? (black freckles) Look at her comb. Is it small, but detailed. Is it red, Is there a comb, or a flat spot. Is her color Clean? No foriegn color? (buff, or red spots)

If there is no mossing, she has a small, red, detailed comb, No foriegn color, and good type, She's a good bird!

I guess the only Hamburgs there were the two we entered. I'll bring my camera tonight and post a picture of her in all her glory!

I wasn't planning to breed these girls, but I'm tempted to find her a boyfriend now!

Here she is! Pic's not so great, they moved her into a big cage in a roped off area, so this was the best I could do today.
