What material do you put down...

for your babies to hatch on? I have wire mesh, but I know their little legs will get caught. Do you use paper towels, shelf liner, or something else? Lockdown is tonight...

I use the rubbery, holey shelf liner. Works great, lets air flow, you can fill water trays through it, etc. Also, it's non slip and makes for much easier cleaning. Just cut it to fit the shelf and throw away when done, just roll it up with all the waste in it, though you could disinfect it just as easily, but I'd rather throw away the germs with it.

Me too, like Speckled Hen, works great. Get it at the store, comes in a roll. Use scissors to cut to fit, wash or toss.
