Phew! I just got my breeder pens set up for my ducks...and since the "pool" has fewer attendees (only the 12 week olds and the bachelor crew) I figured I would bring out my 9 ducklings and 2 goslings for their swim!
They LOVED it! Even the geese were diving under the water! Also, since Texas has temps like an out-of-control broiler, it took them an hour to get tired and cold!
I love watching them in the pool...only thing is they decided it was great fun to nibble my toes (hey, it was hot out and I'm a hick anyhow, so barefoot in a pool should be fine out here) and make me screech...cause they would dive unde and do it so I couldn't see them very well!!
They have such personality...WAAAAY more than the ducks I bought as already-hatched... Has anyone else noticed this about their hatched ducklings?
