Well, I am thinking about getting some meat chickens, what are the better ones to get? I cant free range as our other critters. I have 11 Buff Orpingtons that are 6 months old and starting to lay. I had 10 hens and 4 roosters, which I processed 3 the other day. leaving 10 hens and 1 roo. Should I even mess with meat birds this late in the year?
