What medicines/products should one keep on hand?

I have a small backyard flock of mixed breed OEG's. So far *knock on wood* I've not had any problems.

But, I am adding to my flock. Currently, I have 4 sets of new arrivals in quarrentine.

With a bigger flock, the addition of new birds, and "just a matter of time", I'm sure to experiance an emergency or more.

In your experiance, what should the basic "chicken first aid kit/medicine cabinet" contain?

I recommend blood stop, blukote, gauze and one of these:

I'd add a tube of triple antibiotic ointment to pips&peeps list, and perhaps a shaker can of poultry dust if you don't use DE, but that's about it.

Those links contain lists of wonderful equipment/meds/etc., but there is no way I would buy all that stuff ahead.
