Oh Hello everyone!
What will these crosses give me? I have a beautiful Light Sussex rooster and he has bred with some of my hens. I have collected the eggs and I’m going to hatch some chicks under my broody. The crosses are...
Light Sussex X Isa Brown
Light Sussex X Black Araucana (Australian Araucana, no muffs and has a full tail)
Light Sussex X Easter Egger (she is a light brown colour and has muffs)
Here are some pics...

the araucana & americana female offspring will give an olive egg I believe but I know nothing of genetics
So eggs like this? And how do you know that?

And just an extra note, I am asking on HOW the chicks will grow up to look but egg colour from the pullets would be great!

as far as I know they will be diluted by the fathers egg colour gene, so any blue crossed with any type of tan to brown laying breed will give a shade of olive

but I am not an expert so best wait for others

Just as an aside and I am NOT an expert by any stretch... In order for a bird to be a true auracana, it must have no tail. If it has a tail, it is an EE. Not trying to step on any toes here... Just passing it on. As for what the birds will look like, there's no real way to know for sure unless you have the parents and parents of parents etc. They could be any combination of what you started with from all of one to all of the other or anything in between.

Its kind of hard to say feathering wise what they will look like because white feathers can be both dominant and recessive. Egg color of your new baby hens will be some shade of green i believe. Blue shelled eggs is due to breeding a particular way. Blue shell genetics in mom and dad make blue shelled egg layers as those genetics get diluted it will become green and eventually(through generations of not breeding for blue) turn to either brown or white depending on how theyre bred.

Thank you! And FYI these are true Araucanas and EE’s. They are pure bred to the Australian standard. Each country has their own standard and Australian Araucanas are not supposed to have a tail or muffs.
