Hi everyone!

I have a total of 12 chicks that are 10 weeks old. We hatched 8 and couldn't resist getting 4 more from our local farm store. They were marked as Easter Eggers and one jumped out to my daughter that was much smaller and we were told it was a bantum. She obviously was not putting it back and she is the sweetest.

Can anyone tell us the possible mixes. Three have green legs and the bantum has tan legs, not sure it matters.

Also, honey has Muffs I know it's hard to see in the pics but thought it was worth mentioning.

We just like playing the guessing game to see if we are close but know it can be very difficult.

Thanks in advance!

The bantam looks like a black breasted red old English game bantam.

The rest are classic Easter eggers. They were created long ago by crossing South American blue egg laying breeds with North American production breeds. Really no way of telling what exact breeds were used to create them.

You are awesome! Thank you we were hoping they were pullets 🤗. This might be silly but the bantam is not considered an EE, she just got put in the wrong mix I'm assuming, is this correct? I will read more about old English game. Thank you again

The bantam is an entirely different breed. OEGBs should have single combs, unlike the pea combs of Easter eggers. They have white legs and no muffs or beards. So double check to make sure that is right.
