So, one minute I'm talking witha fellow BYCer about how we hate showgirls, noting the ones with the bowties are even worse!

The next minute I'm buying this:

This little fellow (with all that red on the crest we're pretty sure its a cockerel) has caused quite a stir in my neighborhood. He's definitly the funkiest chicken in my flock. I've been asked by a lot of people what was mixed to make him and quite frankly, I don't have any idea! He was a bit plucked when I got him so at first I thought he was normal feathered frizzled but as he developed (and after his recent bath and blow dry) I now see he's quite silkie feathered, and so very soft! He's developing a single comb, mostly pink skinned, 4 toed, silkie frizzled, naked neck with a bowtie.

What DNA did the aliens mix for this?

Before his bath...

IDK if this helps but he's splash colored and has leg feathering.

I looked at pictures of frizzled turkens and he does look more silkie than them and his skin is a bit more blue in some places so I'm guessing theres silkie in there somewhere...

with the bit of topknot, the feathered legs, the silkie textured feathers and the super clean neck...I'd say its a showgirl X frizzled turken or a turken X sizzle. definately silkie in there. Shoot just say showgirl with some sizzling gene and a turken

who knows. - lol

I am not at all a fan of the naked necks, but besides the baldness its cute.

I got talked into a little showgirl pullet who was all alone from ChickenZoo (psht, like she had to do much talking) and then about 10 minutes after she left a guy showed up that I bought some seramas from. I put them in the cage with her and he said "I have a bird that looks just like that one." and there he was! I figured the little showgirl needed a friend and almost right away I knew it was a cockerel and she was a pullet so it was perfect. The 2 took to each other right away and he never left her side! Sadly I lost her to wet fowl pox a couple of weeks ago. Oh the poor guy was so depressed. Ive been trying to find him a new girlfriend ever since.
